IT JUST GOT INTERESTING!

No, I don't mean Jen & Vince's pending engagement. I mean the second marathon I signed up for this October! I feel fine after running 1, so why not 2? I'll be seein' ya in Chicago October 22 and again a week later for my third Marine Corps Marathon. Hmmm. I REALLY better start training now. Anyone have any good suggestions for a 4 month training plan? ;-)

Have you tried Hal Higdon's plan? I used his the last two years I did the Marine Corps Marathon and I really like it -- I think it might be 18 weeks -- but you can make it work (www.halhigdon.com). Last year I did the Marine Corps and two weeks later did the Richmond Marathon -- I actually felt better and had a better time in the second one. But doing two a week apart is pretty brave -- I can't wait to hear how it goes!! Good Luck!!

Thanks Julie! ACtually, that is the one I am using. I just started it last week. That is good to know that you did 2 marathons in a short time frame too. I'll get some massages and stretch a lot...and take it easy on the first one. We'll see how it goes!
Is Richmond a fun race?

I really liked Richmond. The weather was gorgeous last year and you get to see a little bit of everything in the city. You start on the main road through downtown when the city is still asleep on a Saturday morning then you run along the river with the fall colored leaves. Then you come back into the city with all the hustle and bustle. The downhill finish is awesome -- you practically fly across the finish. I definitely recommend it!

hey just to keep in shape for endurance while you may be in your second or third trimester try walking long distances to work the baby out....and as always please ask your dr. before doing any work outs!!! I ran until my 8th month "ARMY SGT" go figure but you should do what your body can handle!
