Week 8 Style Challenge: Necklace Stack
Thank goodness last week's challenge is O-V-E-R. Dresses + Homeschool Mom + 5 month old = NO NEED TO WEAR A FREAKING DRESS. I tried, I really did. I searched for an occasion to wear a dress. Then the cold crept in and I got even MORE lazy about working a dress into my wardrobe. Had it been a SWEATS challenge - I would have nailed it!
On to this week....
Tra la la la la....
I'm a crafter. I have necklaces. Lots of necklaces. Half of which I have crafted myself. Or my crafty queen friend AMY has crafted for me. Or my jewelry design extraordinaire VAL has gifted me.
So this week's challenge is NECKLACE STACKING. Not just one petite little pearl on a strand kind of necklace. Oh no! Grab a few...blindfolded if you dare...and wear them around your neck.
This I can do. I have a few outings planned this week. I THINK I CAN. NO....I WILL SUCCEED.

Signing off
Andrea, I was just going to post a little story about how much I have enjoyed blogging for seeMOMMYrun and about how I'm in such wonderful shape because I form what I will write while I exercise. And then I was going to sign off and invite somebody else to become a blogger for your site so that she might also experience the personal transformation that takes place.
Then I realized that I should probably talk to you about it first, to let you know before the rest of the world. While a blogger for your site, I can honestly say I became a different, improved, healthier person. The process of blogging about one's efforts to be a mother as well as somebody else is transformative.
I am still going to post that little story I mentioned above, I might just post the body of this email. I can't wait to follow the experiences of the next blogger(s).
So, thanks! I hope we are able to meet each other in person some day.

Resuscitation
I hadn't run since last week after I made a lousy, half-ditched effort before throwing in the proverbial towel. Oh, what a wuss. I hated myself. But then again, I had a stomach bug, it was too cold to take the baby out--you name it, I had an excuse at the ready.
Since my normal tendency is to be manically busy, I naturally began an internal, verbally abusive conversation with myself. It went something like this:
"You think you're so good and really you're such a loser."
"Look at this house. Why can't you keep it clean. What's wrong with you?"
"Nobody likes you. Why would anybody like you?"
"Go ahead. Eat those Oreos."
Oh, I can be so mean to myself. Why? Why am I like that?
But today...today I did it. I went for a run.
And you know what? I am a pretty good person. I'm not a loser. And the house isn't as messy as I thought it was. And if people don't like me then that's fine. There are other people who do like me.
And the Oreos? I plead the fifth.
P.S. I had to look up Resuscitate in the dictionary and the dictionary naturally fell open to Runner which, for the record, is defined as one who runs :)
